Archive I is 150 pieces, a number taken from anthropologist Robin Dunbar, who found that most people can only keep about 150 meaningful relationships. The edition is sized to a circle that small.

Your first purchase makes you a Founding Owner:

  • Your number. Engraved on your piece, and never given to anyone else.
  • Your place in The Register. The permanent record of Archive I’s first owners, shown with your name or your number alone.
  • First access. See and access every future Numbered Edition before the public. Some pieces will be offered only to Founding Owners.
  • A title that stays yours. If your piece changes hands, your place and your access don’t.

Once Archive I closes, no one can become a Founding Owner, at any price.

How numbers work

Your Founding Owner number is yours, not your piece’s. Numbers are given in the order people buy.

Henry Francis holds No. 001, having kept the first of each design. The first buyer after us becomes No. 002, the next No. 003, and so on.

Your number is engraved on every Archive I piece you own, so a second piece carries the same number.

Numbers can’t be chosen, reserved or bought. The earlier you arrive, the lower yours will be.

DHL Express shipping, fully insured, at no cost to you. A signature is needed on delivery, so it’s only ever handed to a person.

Duties and taxes are shown at checkout. Nothing to pay on delivery.

THE STORY

For centuries, a signet ring was proof of who you were.

Pressed into warm wax, it sealed a letter. The reader knew who sent it before breaking the seal. No one else could make the same mark.

This one carries a different kind of proof.

A natural blue sapphire, set within a halo of diamonds and framed by sapphire baguettes in eight sides of 18k gold. Every stone was matched to the center, so the blue reads as one.

A signet has always been worn on the little finger, and this one was made to sit there. It has weight. You feel it every time you close your hand.

This is Archive I. 150 pieces, made once. When the edition closes, the design is never made again.

Your Founding Owner number is engraved on the ring. It follows the order you bought in, and it’s entered in The Register. Someone may wear it after you. They can never be its first owner.

The wax seal proved who you were. This proves you were first.

THE FOUNDING OWNERS

Four things only Founding Owners will ever have.

  1. A number that’s yours. Engraved on every Archive I piece you own, and never given to anyone else.
  2. A place in The Register. The permanent record of Archive I’s first owners, shown under your name or your number alone.
  3. First access to what comes next. See and access every future Archive before it’s announced, plus pieces offered only to Founding Owners.
  4. A title that can’t be bought. If your piece ever changes hands, your place and your access stay with you.
