Shipping
1. Free shipping, everywhere
Every order ships free. That includes every country we ship to, every piece and the Ring Try-On Kit. Every parcel goes by DHL Express, fully insured, from New Zealand.
2. When your order leaves us
Nothing is made before you order it. Here's when each kind of order leaves New Zealand:
- Ring Try-On Kit: within 1 business day.

Fine jewelry: made to order. It leaves us within 3 weeks.
- Archive I: made to order. It leaves us within 7 to 8 weeks (see section 3).
If anything will take longer than this, we'll tell you before it happens, not after.
3. Archive I
Each Archive I piece is made once your number is placed. It ships within 7 to 8 weeks of your order. Your number is recorded in The Register on the day you purchase it. If your piece will take longer, we will notify you. Archive I ships to addresses in New York only. US import duty is calculated at checkout. We pay it to US Customs when your piece ships. Nothing is charged on delivery.
4. Delivery times
Once your order leaves New Zealand, most deliveries arrive within 2 to 8 business days. The time depends on where you are and how quickly your country's customs clears the parcel. These are estimates, not guarantees. Peak seasons, public holidays and remote addresses can add time.
5. Tracking
You'll get a tracking link by email the moment your order ships. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder, or write to us.
6. Signature and insurance
Every jewelry order needs a signature on delivery. It can't be left at the door. Ring Try-On Kits do not require a signature. Every parcel is insured for its full value while it travels. Your order is our responsibility until it's delivered to you. The risk passes to you on delivery, not when we hand it to DHL.
7. Duties and taxes New Zealand:
New Zealand: prices include GST. Nothing more is charged.
Everywhere else: import duties and taxes for your country are calculated at checkout and shown before you pay. We pay them to customs for you, so there’s nothing to pay on delivery.
UK and Europe: VAT is added at checkout.
Australia: GST is added on orders over A$1,000.
United States: import duty is added at checkout; sales tax may also apply, depending on your state.
Ring Try-On Kit: duties and taxes paid on a kit aren't credited toward your ring or refunded. The credit covers the kit price only.
8. Plain packaging
Every parcel ships in plain outer packaging. Nothing on the outside says Henry Francis or what's inside. Customs forms must describe the contents. Jewelry is declared at its value, so it's fully insured. Ring Try-On Kits are declared as imitation jewelry.
9. Lost or damaged parcels
Parcel lost or damaged? Write to hello@henryfrancis.com within 7 days of the delivery date. Send photos of any damage. Keep the packaging until we've heard from DHL.
10. Address changes and returned parcels
Check your address at checkout. We can change it until your order ships. After that, we may not be able to. Sometimes a parcel comes back to us. The address was wrong, or no one collected or accepted it. We'll contact you before sending it again. A redelivery fee may apply. We'll tell you the amount first.
If a parcel is refused or returned, duties and taxes already paid to customs may not be refundable.
11. Where we ship
We ship to most countries. If your country isn't offered at checkout, write to us before you order. DHL adds surcharges for some destinations. We cover these. Shipping is still free. We don't ship to the Russian Federation.

Write to hello@henryfrancis.com. The person who decides will answer. We may update this policy from time to time. The version in place when you ordered applies to your order.
