Ring Try-On Kit
An at-home kit of ten stone shapes, so you can try each one on your hand before you choose.
Each stone is the equivalent size of a 1.5 carat diamond. You see every shape side by side, in your own light, with no one waiting.
It also includes:
- A ring sizer, to find your exact size over the knuckle, so the ring fits the first time it goes on.
- Three setting styles, to get a feel for each look on your hand, so you know which direction suits you.
- Two flexible bands, gold and silver-tone. They fit any finger, so anyone can try the kit without knowing their size, and you can see which tone suits the skin.
Keep it for as long as you need. The full price comes off your Henry Francis engagement ring for 365 days.
So when you ask, the only surprise is the question.
Because a screen can't show you how a stone sits on your own hand, in your own light. The kit lets you try 10 shapes at home, for as long as you need.
No. They're 7A cubic zirconia, cut to the same millimeter size as a 1.5 carat diamond. They're bright enough that you're comparing shapes, not a dull imitation.
The sizing bands are full, solid circles with the same inside shape as our rings. You test the real thing over your knuckle, the widest part of your finger. Paper strips and plastic sizers can't do that.
Yes. All kits ship in plain, unbranded exterior packaging with no logos.
Please note that for international shipments, legal customs forms require us to declare the contents as "imitation jewelry," but the box itself remains completely discreet.
Yes. The full price of the kit comes off your Henry Francis engagement ring. The credit is linked to the email you ordered with, and lasts 365 days. Shipping, duties and taxes aren't credited. See the Credit terms.

Dispatch, shipping & duties
No. Shipping is free on every order, to every country we ship to. Every parcel goes by DHL Express, fully insured.
Nothing is made before you order it. Here's when each order leaves us:
- Ring Try-On Kit: within 1 business day.
- Fine jewelry: made to order. It leaves within 3 weeks.
- Numbered Editions: made to order once your number is placed. It leaves within 7 to 8 weeks.
If anything will take longer, we'll tell you before it happens.
Most deliveries arrive 2 to 8 business days after leaving New Zealand. It depends on where you are and how quickly your country's customs clears the parcel. You'll get a tracking link the moment it ships.
Nothing is charged at your door. New Zealand: prices include GST. Everywhere else: any import duty and tax for your country is calculated at checkout, so you see the full amount before you pay. We pay it to customs for you.
Yes, for all jewelry. It can't be left at the door. Ring Try-On Kits don't need a signature.
We ship to most countries. If yours isn't offered at checkout, write to us before you order. We don't ship to the Russian Federation.
Write to us within 7 days of the delivery date, with photos of any damage.
Every jewelry order is insured. Kits are tracked and replaced if lost.
Engagement rings & diamonds
For a custom engagement ring, either. Tell us which when you write to us. Our Fine Jewelry is set with lab-grown diamonds. Archive I uses natural diamonds and sapphires.
We choose every stone for your piece together, as a set, not from loose stock. Each one is checked by eye for undertones a grading report doesn't show: blue, brown, grey or a cloudy look. So every stone on the piece matches the others.
Yes. Every center diamond over 0.50 carats comes with an independent grading report from the GIA or IGI.
Returns, warranty & resizing
Every piece is made to order for you, so we don't accept change-of-mind returns.
This doesn't affect your statutory rights. If you're in the EU or UK, see our EU/UK Right of Withdrawal for what applies to you.
Every piece has a lifetime manufacturing warranty. If something goes wrong because of how it was made, we'll repair it, replace it or refund it. It doesn't cover wear, knocks or accidental damage.

Most rings can be resized within one or two sizes. Write to us and we’ll arrange it.
The Solitaire's resizing is limited and the Eternity Band can't be resized. To be certain of your size first, use the ring sizer in our Ring Try-On Kit, or check the chart in our Ring Size Guide.
Archive I · Numbered Editions
Archive I is the first numbered edition from Henry Francis: 150 pieces across three designs, designed in New Zealand and released only in New York. There are 50 Octagon Sapphire Signets, 70 pairs of Octagon Sapphire Halo Studs and 30 Oval Sapphire Halo Bracelets. Each is made once and never remade.
Your first piece makes you a Founding Owner. You’ll see every future Numbered Edition before the press and the public, and one day you’ll be offered pieces made only for Founding Owners.
Spread across the world, 150 owners would almost never meet. In one city, they might. New York is home to more than eight million people, and only 147 of them will own a piece of Archive I.
Henry Francis keeps the first piece of each design. Together they hold No. 001, the first entry in The Register. That leaves 147 pieces for Founding Owners.
Yes. Every Archive I piece you own carries your Founding Owner number, and you keep one place in The Register however many pieces you hold.
In the order owners arrive. Henry Francis holds No. 001, the first owner after us becomes No. 002, and so on.
Your number is engraved on every Archive I piece you own. Numbers can’t be chosen, reserved or bought; the earlier you arrive, the lower yours will be.
Four things no one else will ever have:
- Your number: engraved on your pieces, and never given to anyone else.
- A permanent place in The Register, under your name or your number alone.
- First access to every future Archive, before it’s announced, plus pieces offered only to Founding Owners.
- A title that can’t be bought: if your piece ever changes hands, your place and your access stay with you.
Once Archive I closes, no one can become a Founding Owner, at any price.
Your piece is made for you once your number is placed. It leaves New Zealand within 7 to 8 weeks. Delivery to New York then usually takes 3 to 5 business days.
US import duty and taxes are shown at checkout, and we pay it to customs for you. Shipping is free and insured.
Nothing is charged at your door.
No. Archive I is released only in New York, and ships to New York addresses only.
Because that's where we work. It's nearly 9,000 miles from Manhattan and a day ahead.
There is no trend to keep pace with, and no one next door to copy.
